Time Flies When You’re Enjoying Yourself

9 March 2012

Ten years ago today, David and I were married.  I’ve talked about this before here as it was just a tad unusual.

The wedding took place in the garden of David’s house in Yuendumu, an Aboriginal community 300  kilometres from Alice Springs and the whole community turned out.  We brought a marriage celebrant out from Alice, and after the ceremony about 30 of us drove to the only building between Alice and Yuendumu, Tilmouth Well, a roadhouse with restaurant and accommodation about 100k from Yuendumu, where we had dinner and fireworks and stayed the night.

I’m sorry the pictures are all different sizes!  Taken on different cameras by different people and I haven’t got time to work on that.  David and I are off for the day!

  1. Happy anniversary! Hope you both have a lovely day today (the sun is shining, that’s a good start at the moment!)

  2. Happy anniversary! May you have many more.

Have you told us the story of how you met? I’d also be interested in how you came from the Outback to Sydney.

  3. Happy Anniversary!

  4. Sorry to be late, Happy Anniversary, I am sure you both had a wonderful day xx

  5. A very belated but nonetheless sincere “happy anniversary”.
