Knitted By A Prime Minister

23 June 2013

I’ve mentioned before that Australia has a Prime Minister who knits.

Last week the MidWinter Ball was held in Canberra and traditionally it’s used as a fundraiser for various charities.  Our PM’s contribution was a hand-knitted scarf, knitted to order in the colours of the winning bidder’s choice.

The details are here.  And the scarf went for $4,050.

I do hope we get to see the finished item.

  1. That is rather spiffy and knitterly offering. {wry grin} And how many people have a scarf custom-knitted by a PM?

  2. She is also kniiitting a kangaroo for the Royal baby
