Fancy a great “get away from it all” holiday?  Well, according to Julie Bishop, Australia’s Foreign Minister, our detention centres in Naura and Manus Island sound just the places.

In a radio interview with the BBC’s John Humphreys, she describes them as having ” excellent medical care, community facilities and education for the children”.

Balderdash is the rudest word I’m going to publish here, though it’s far from the rudest I can think of.  In December for instance, the Government abolished the Immigration Health Advisory Group and there is a lot of concern in the medical profession about the lack of proper medical facilities in these centres.

At least John Humphreys didn’t let her get away with this tosh which is what the media in Australia do, for fear of being accused of bias I presume.
